I heard a theory sometime earlier this year that the earliest mammals that evolved alongside the dinosaurs might actually have largely been flying animals. Though it's far from scientific fact, I felt that the idea that our ancestors might once have had wings fit really well into the framework of this album, even if it was a difficult one to put into words.
Anyway, the title of this song, and feeling the music tries to evoke, just might have something to do with that. :)
